Log Scan Pro (“LSP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an online flight-logging system designed for general aviation pilots. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the free LSP logbook.

We keep this Policy concise and readable while still meeting professional and legal standards.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an LSP account or enter data into your logbook, you may provide:

• Flight entries (aircraft, airports, times, ratings, comments)

• Uploaded scans or photos of documents (optional)

We do not collect: Social Security numbers, payment information, government IDs, or any unrelated personal data.

2.1 Operating the Free Logbook

• Saving and displaying your flight entries
• Generating totals and summaries
• Organizing endorsements, ratings, and certificates
• Serving as an optional archive for uploaded license scans

2.2 Optional Email Notifications

If you opt in, we may send reminders about:
• Medical certificate expirations
• Flight review deadlines
• Currency expirations (night, IFR, etc.)
• Other pilot-timing alerts you choose to enable

2.3 Preparing Add-On Features

Some voluntary profile questions support future modules such as:
• Go/No-Go system
• Milestone tracking
• Deep-dive logbook analysis
• Skill progression summaries

These questions do not affect your logbook data and are only used internally if you activate an add-on.

We do not use your information for advertising, reselling, or behavioral tracking.

3. How Your Data Is Stored and Protected

• Your data is stored on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure.
• All communication between your browser and LSP is encrypted.
• Uploaded documents (like license scans) are stored securely and are never shared.
• Access to your logbook is restricted to your authenticated account.

We take data integrity seriously—your logbook is treated like a pilot’s legal record.

4. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising.

We only share data in the following circumstances:

4.1 With Your Explicit Permission

For example, if you choose to export your logbook, share a PDF, or provide information to a flight school, employer, or insurance provider.

4.2 For Technical Operation

Trusted vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, email services) may process data on our behalf but cannot use it for any other purpose.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or a valid legal process, such as a court order.

5. Data Retention

Your data remains stored in your account until you choose to delete it.

If you delete your account:

• Your logbook entries
• Document uploads
• Profile information
• Notifications
are permanently erased from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

You may:

• View your data
• Edit your data
• Delete entries
• Delete your entire account
• Export your logbook at any time

No fees, no restrictions.

7. Cookies and Tracking

LSP uses basic session cookies to keep you logged in.
We do not use:

• Advertising cookies
• Third-party tracking
• Behavioral analytics

8. Children’s Privacy

LSP is not intended for users under age 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as new features launch (such as Milestones, Go/No-Go, or Deep Dive Analysis).
When updates occur, we will post the revised Policy and update the effective date.
